The US and EU think that by increasing hefty tariffs on China's products, is going to somehow make their economies better. They can continue this suicidal trend, but if people in the US and EU are not buying domestic label brands due to high prices, that defeats the purpose in having high tariffs, when China can keep going flooding markets cheaply. No matter what the US and its lapdogs do, people are always going to go for cheap prices--and if that means products from China, then so be it.

Before the end of this year, Chinese car industry will be declared a national security threat by the US. They will say Chinese car manufactures build secret / hidden microphones and cameras in the car so that they can listen to the conversations of the car passengers and send the information to China. They will say that China can manipulate the car from a distance and can take over the driving and send the car into crash. They will say that Chinese cars have a high level of radiation which can cause cancer. When the US say A Europe will blindly follow.

Ambricourt, Better add Korea to your list, and mostly developed their vaey viable industry without the same level of foreign help as with Japan and China. And for main stream, efficient, but relatively boring cars, they are better and less boring than Japanese and so far Chinese cars, but the Chinese although struggling with fossil fuel cars, are leader of the pack with Battery-Electric cars. The Europeans had better hope the future is with Hydrogen-Electric cars, to regain their technical dominance. The yanks just make, and always have made unsophisticated environmentally disastrous cars, which are as per dinosaurs in today's world priorities. Trouble is Japan and Korea are leading the way with Hydrogen as well. Glad we in Australia no longer have a local manufacturing to protect, so we can pick the best and cheapest the world has to offer, European now for petrol and diesel cars, China for battery-electric cars, but will be Korean and Japanese for Hydrogen cars, unless the French and the Germans get a big move on. US will simply continue to protect their dinosaur local industry, same as their now 100% terrific on Chinese cars - the bastion of free trade and clearly hypocrisy...
