There are many career options available to engineering graduates after completing their degree. Some of the popular career options are:
Engineering jobs: This is the most obvious career choice for engineering graduates. They can work in various fields such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering, aerospace engineering, and more. They can work in industries such as construction, manufacturing, energy, telecommunications, transportation, and more.
Higher education: Many engineering graduates opt for further studies, such as a master's degree or a PhD. They can pursue research, teaching, or both in universities or research institutions.
Management: Engineers with good communication and management skills can work in management positions such as project managers, product managers, technical managers, and more.
Entrepreneurship: Many engineering graduates become entrepreneurs and start their own companies. They can develop and market innovative products, services, or solutions that solve real-world problems.

Bachelors of Technology (BTech) degree runs in an abundance in the society today. Many people, therefore, look for career options after the completion of their BTech degree.
1. Job- Majority of the engineering graduates go for jobs after graduation and they all get jobs through campus placements. This seems to be the most common choice of the students after completing their BTech as it provides students with experience and exposure to a workplace environment. There is plenty to learn from the senior officers in the workplace and it can be a great opportunity to grow. This is best suited for a person looking for a stable life and someone who is more inclined towards settling down

2. Higher Studies: Students also opt to go for higher studies abroad and pursue MTech and MS. This gives the student a great deal of knowledge and international exposure. Here the student can learn in an extremely diverse community and can develop life skills better. Some people do not opt for this option as pursuing a Master’s degree in a foreign country costs a great amount of money and choose to work and save up before pursuing one. To get admission into MTech, one must clear the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineers (GATE). For MS, one must clear an English proficiency test (IELTS/TOEFL) and the GRE. Nowadays it is even possible to pursue a higher education through student loans. This is best suited for students who have a thirst for knowledge and have a true passion in his/her field of interest.

However, startups come with huge risks and chances of failure, so one must be prepared to deal with them before starting one. This is best suited for students who are risk takers and learn from their mistakes. It is the ideal path for a person who is passionate about his/her idea and believes it can bring a change to the world.
I would recommend deciding what you feel is best for you and not to rely on other people to influence you. Career is one of the most important things in your life and career choice is extremely crucial.

What can I do after engineering?
There are numerous things you could do after engineering.
Try to get into a IT/Core company job
Become an entreprenuer and open your own company or business
Write exams like GATE/CAT/MAT/TANCET/GRE and do higher studies ME/MS/MBA/PHD
Write bank exams and get into a bank job
Pursue your goal of becoming something or doing the things which you always wanted to do.
If none of that works and you like to teach, try becoming a lecturer or a trainer(softskills/communication skills/ aptitude and many more)
Ps : Inorder to achieve any of those you need to reseach, work hard and pursue in that field.

What should I do after completion of my engineering?
This is a question for which , probably thousands of b.tech graduates in our country need an answer.
Being a member of the same engineering community, Here i share my view:
After Btech you can go for mainly 3 options :
1)M.tech /MS courses - if u r keen on continuing in ur technology stream, u can choose this course either from india or abroad.
2)MBA- if u think u need a change in ur stream, technology was not ur taste .. or u r intrested in management ... u can go for MBA , again from india or abroad.
3) To Work: Join a company , either IT sector or your core sector job.

1、專碩或?qū)W碩：如果你想繼續(xù)你的專業(yè)領(lǐng)域，你可以申請(qǐng)印度或國(guó)外學(xué)校。
2、 MBA：如果你認(rèn)為你需要改變自己的工作方式，技術(shù)不是你的愛好，或者你對(duì)管理感興趣，你可以申請(qǐng)MBA，也可以申請(qǐng)印度或國(guó)外學(xué)校。
3、 工作：加入一家公司，無論是IT部門還是你的核心部門工作。

My suggestion
If you are pretty sure and know what u want, u can choose option 1 or 2
else
Go for the 3rd option , To work
Here are some reason:
> soon after b.tech , one hardly knows what he wants . if u work for 1-2 years u will really understand what course u need and then u can go for ur higher studies accordingly.
>U become more independent , u can earn money and fund your own higher studies. No more burden for parents. u may also gain courage and many other qualities which will help you to stay abroad for higher studies.
>If u are lucky enough, u would love your job and u can continue ur career in that area. u may go for some certification in the fields
>joining another college again after 4 years may turn out boring, but once u join a work , chances are there that u will feel students life as heavenly and when u go back to college after 1-2 years of work , u can enjoy everything around and feel blessed.

What is the best option after an engineering degree?
There are multiple options after an engineering degree :
Master of Science i.e MS : MS is a good option now a days if you can get some loan from a bank which is easily available. But choose an ambitious university depending upon your field of study. After 2 years you will be able to repay the loan in just few months,not to worry about it. But be ready to live away from your family.
MTech : If you want to pursue your career in same field then Mtech is a good option but prepare thoroughly for GATE, to get a good college.
MBA : If you got bored studing the same thing for 4 years then MBA is quite a good option now a days to change the field. Be ready to bell the CAT to get a college of your choice.
Civil services : If a government job exites you then UPSC is a good thing to give a shot. People prepare for years to give this exam and bag a good govt job.
Job : If you think you had enough of studies in your life then you can always go for a job. Save some money before switching to any more study or another job.

Before outrightly telling you guys about what all options are available, I would like to make you guys understand that just because your friend, girlfriend, boyfriend, or any relative recommends a particular career option don't go for it as your professional journey will define the rest of your life and you can't keep on blaming them once you have made a choice.
You need to do through research and have in depth understanding about a particular career option and what lies ahead. I would like to help you guys solve this condrum. So considering I have completed by Mechanical Engineering I think I can make you guys aware about multiple options.
CAMPUS PLACEMENTS
If you guys are placed in a college that has a proven record of campus placements and a well functioning Training & Placement Cell, you guys can and should think about getting placed through campus placements. Believe me guys, it's quite difficult to apply for jobs once you graduate from institute and look for jobs with the support of college. Assess your financial background and your grades and subject knowledge before taking a call for not sitting for campus placements and then take an informed decision.
2) COMPETITIVE EXAMS (CIVIL SERVICES)
UPSC or other competitive exams can be e a good option if you are interested in civil services and related fields. You need to have the grit and passion to continuously put in the efforts even if it takes few years to crack those exams.

3) MBA/GATE
Depending on whether you would like to continue in your existing engineering branch or explore the field of business management you can opt for doing an MBA or masters in your respective branch. Usually after engineering people enroll themselves into entrance examination coaching centres to prepare for these exams.what you can do instead is if you are really interested to pursue the post graduation then in the final year itself start preparing for the relevant exams and ensure you don't waste a full year while only preparing for exams.
4) C-DAC
This can also be a good option if you want to change your career path and switch into the Computer Science world. Looking ahead at the future, there is no doubt that Technology will be an integral part of human lives and Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning has a huge potential.
To leverage this, you can go for doing a C-DAC which is kind of post graduation in computer science department. You have to give entrance exam and then enroll in good institute to study further.
MBA/GATE

6) STARTUP OR BUSINESS VENTURE
If you guys believe you have got a great business plan or an idea that can solve some problems or make existing process more easier then you can think about venturing out and starting your something on your own.
So guys, please make an informed decision before choosing a particular career path. I have seen people following the herd just to regret later. Do consider about your financial background, academic background, intrests, passion, as these things to affect a lot.

What should we do after engineering?
Just one thing…..
Ask yourself, what you want to do. Follow your dreams.
Don't just blindly follow your friends and family and go for a job, MTech or an MBA. There is much more to do with your life.
Take a note of your interests, your passion and hunt for a profession which satisfies your passion. Make your life worth living.
Remember, you are an ENGINEER, you can make it into any field and do anything and everything you want.
But the question is,
WHAT DO YOU WANT??
If u are a normal guy, this may not be the apt answer……but if u really seek to do something different, this answer would really help.
