Ideal Life. Hmm.
Firstly, let me tell you what according to Google are the definitions of the word ‘ideal’ :
1. Satisfying one's conception of what is perfect; most suitable.
2. Existing only in the imagination; desirable or perfect but not likely to become a reality .
So yeah, according to Google the word ‘ideal’ is difficult to achieve. But it also says it is achievable, conceptually. So I will tell you about the ‘ideal’ life in my conception in the following two categories.
Ideal Professional life is when:
You wake up in the morning with purpose, and go to sleep at night with satisfaction.
When work is not a burden; it’s a playtime and when it doesn’t matter - whether the watch shows 9 a.m. or 9 p.m.
When you have a ‘Best employee of the year’ award on your shelf and also have a drawing sheet of your daughter with a caption ‘My daddy/mom is the best’ - hung on your wall.
When you look forward to Mondays as much as you look forward to weekends.
When your colleagues are your friends.
When you are comfortable where you are, but you are working hard for much better things.
When you never stop learning.
When you are admired for your talents than your looks and riches.
When it really doesn’t take much to make you happy. You derive happiness from the simplest of things.
When you bloom like the flowers of the spring, and let go of the things that no longer nurture you like the leaves of the autumn. And pull yourself together in between.
When you have more friends you can talk to at night 2 a.m., than the online friends who send ‘Happy birthday’ wishes because of a notification.
When your conscious is clear about all the decisions you have made in your life.
When your life is not ‘only’ about daylight worries and midnight feelings.
When you actually live life, not put up with life.
When you give more, take less, expect nothing.
When you have made a tough decision that left you baffled but yet you could sleep peacefully at night - when you know you have made the right decision.
When notifications from Quora make you happy than Facebook notifications.
When you reach the finish line- you achieve your biggest victory, you have people to high-five with.
In general, ‘ideal’ life is something that makes you feel content, and that sets your soul at ease.
To me your life is ideal if-
1. You are at peace with who you are.
2. You are at peace with what you have.
3. Temptations of the world fail to rock you.
4. You are a part of the world, but you have your world within you.
5. You do things because you want to do, not to impress anyone.
6. You are very clear about your priorities in life. You know "when", "what" and "whom" to say no to.
life is to live and enjoy so dont live ur life by seeing perfect, only on movies or story books it is possible, not in real life:)
Perception of ideal life varies for every person
For a poor person who struggles for daily bread, a life with basic needs such as food, shelter and clothing is ideal life.
For an orphan kid, living with parents is an ideal life.
For a rape victim, getting married is an ideal life.
For an acid attack victim, life without struggles is an ideal life.
For people with health issues, living a stress free healthy life is an ideal life.
For a cancer patient, living without painful chemotherapy sessions is an ideal life.
For a cancer survivor, living healthy without cancer relapse is an ideal life.
For a human trafficking victim, escaping from the darkness and leading a peaceful life is an ideal life.
For a widow/divorcee, remarrying a right person and starting the life journey ahead is an ideal life.
For a single mom/dad, raising their kids and securing a stable life to them is an ideal life.
For Syrians and victims of terrorism, leading a peaceful life is an ideal life.
According to me “An ideal life is living happily the present moment with complete satisfaction”!!!
Smiles and Cheers :-)

An ideal life is when you are honest to yourself. You share what you know, nothing mix, or duplicity.
You are compassionate towards everyone. You just give what you have.
You are living a balance life, you are content with what you have.
Sharing with you a beautiful story.
There is a beautiful story about Saint Kabir. Once a lady with her young child came to Saint Kabir and complained that her son had the habit of eating lot of Jaggery everyday. Saint Kabir told her to come after a week.
Upon the lady’s return after a week, Saint Kabir told the boy to give up the habit of eating Jaggery. The lady was surprised to hear this and asked Saint Kabir, “You could have said this when we had come earlier”?
Saint Kabir clarified to the lady, “How could I advise your son not to eat Jaggery when I used to eat it myself at that time? Therefore these last seven days I practiced to stay without eating Jaggery, so I could advise your son to do the same!”
Here Saint Kabir showing his greatness, he advised when he got rid of his habit..
Otherwise, we can find many people they try to be great advisor, but they itself don’t follow such advice.
Having the ability to spend my time doing what I love, adventuring as much as possible, building and maintaining powerful relationships while experiencing personal growth regularly.
To have an ideal life there is no fixed formula as such, but yeah on the basis of my personal experience and learning, I can tell few points which I believe are important to have life which can be called ideal:
Trust your family rather to trust an outsider: Yes, it is true trust family more than any body else because whatever they say they say on the basis of their experience and whatever they have seen since they are there before us. At times it may look that an outsider is the one we were searching for, but it will always end up to be an illusion. We should never at any point ignore this truth that they carry much more experience than us.
Listen to your gut feeling and trust it: your gut feeling never lies, mostly it doesn’t listen to it. If before doing anything it says no listen to it and think twice before indulging into any matter.
Never indulge in bad habits like drinking/smoking/ drugs etc. even for the sake of friendship or to come out of some painful event do not indulge in such habits, there is nothing fruitful in it. We should never forget this ‘Addiction of anything is bad at the end’. No true friend on the earth would want you to have bad habits.
Have a real relationship: do not indulge into multiple relationships or time pass relations. Just have true relation with the person wherein you can say yes this is the one I can spend my whole life with. Love is the most essential ingredient for an ideal life. People who have great bonding with their partners are seen to grow exponentially compared to those who are more talented but struggling in their personal lives.
Do not trust anyone blindly: Trust is an important aspect of life but these days it is broken like hell, think thousands of time before trusting anyone. Just don’t trust anyone like that.
Do have passion but do not leave your job in sway: Everyone wants to live his/her passion, but it can be disastrous sometimes when you leave your good paying job for your passion. I am not negative here, it’s just a suggestion before you think this way, that’s all.
DO NOT LEND MONEY TO ANYONE: Yes, this is the most important of all, if you really really want to have good relations with people, do not lend money ever. Money is not the root of evil but yeah it shows the person’s true character and you feel ditched.
SAVE MONEY: It doesn’t matter how much you earn but make it a point that you save money. You will find n number of reasons to spend and all the reason would be alluring enough to you but trust me man, when you actually go through your worst time only money can save you. No friend, no relative, nobody would ever show up in your worst. But your financial stability will give you that peace of mind which you would want in that period.
Spend time with family and kids: spend quality time with your loved ones, it releases stress and kids are the stress busters.
Do not talk about problems while eating food: Whatever you talk about while eating, trust that you are consuming that too with your food. Talk only positive things or do not talk at all. Problems are never ending and are part and parcel of life, never carry them at your dinner table. It worsen your situation and nothing else.
Do not blame others for your problems: Learn to take the responsibility of your life and your problems.
Frustration/Anger/ Overthinking is no solution: Learn that frustration, anger, overthinking are no solution to any of your problem they just multiply your problems. #Be cool.
Don’t take life too seriously: Everything else is good, take life easy. Enjoy and go with the flow. Don’t harm anyone for your benefits. Smile a lot it costs nothing and try to make others smile daily.
Thanks!
In my opinion, an ideal lifestyle is one that brings to you a lot of positivity. It should be such that at the end of the day you feel productive, relaxed and contented… So anything that adds up positivity to your daily rituals ultimately ends up making your lifestyle an ideal one…
However the concept of “ideal” is very subjective.. it varies from person to person.. A lifestyle which is ideal for one might not be ideal for someone else.. For example someone might feel waking up early is an essential part of an ideal life, whereas to some others working till late night gives a sense of being highly productive making his/her lifestyle an ideal one..
So basically, any lifestyle that keeps you HAPPY and HEALTHY is an ideal one..
Doing something I love, surrounded by friends and family.
Perhaps travelling the world and immersing myself in new cultures, helping in poor parts of the World and generally making a positive difference somehow.
Ideal life is being where you want to be, with who you want to be with, doing what you want to do.
My ideal life is being self-employed, with two home schooled kids, and retired husband, slowly traveling the world and visiting all of our friends and family. We've already tasted it before.
And now we are a bit stuck in place because our youngest went to kindergarten. His dad promised that if he beats him in chess, he can quit kindergarten. So, I'm cheering for the little one. He tries every night.
It’s hard for me to imagine an ideal life, most of the time I don’t think a good life is even possible for me anymore.
An ideal life would entail me becoming a completely different person, one who has passions, can move on from the past, has confidence and self esteem, who actually has a place they want to go in life. I can’t really imagine being such a person, but I think that my life would be ideal if I had traits like those. If I was that kind of person I would be able to get an ideal life, or at least pretty close.
Growing up with my grandparents, I've learned to appreciate the simple things life has to offer.
We are living in the countryside and my grandparents had carabaos, ducks, goats and currently only have chickens, and dogs. Most people here make a living through farming and so our place is surrounded by paddy fields, sugarcane plantations, corn plantations, and such.
Aside from those, the people here are all friendly and will lend a helping hand whenever needed without asking for payments (aside from working on other's farms). We are used to sharing food and anything if we have it.
And what I appreciate here the most is whenever it is my birthday when I go out, people would greet me when I’m not even telling anyone that it's my birthday.
From that experience, I’ve realized that that kind of life living in the city isn't for me.
So what's my ideal life?
You could guess.
My ideal life would be living somewhere away from the city but not too far that it becomes inconvenient, be financially stable, have businesses, and probably adopt kids as I don't really see myself getting a partner.
Of course, I still need to live in the city in the future for work and to make some of my dreams become a reality.
But settling in the rural place when I retire is definitely a must-thing for me.
My idea life is a life where I earn big money for less number of hours worked. I do not believe in this “work hard day and night until you die” lifestyle.
I earn good money, I work less number of hours, I keep my expenses minimum and I enjoy life. And added to this - I work with whomsoever I like, in the manner I like and only on those terms and conditions I feel are applicable to me.
Now with regards to YOUR IDEAL LIFE….This is what I can recommend:
Find a day, date and time when you are all alone and no one will disturb you
Take a note book, pen and sext a nice spot to sit and think
Do not have any smartphone, internet or friend or anyone near you
Sit down and ask yourself what (realistically) is your ideal life
Be truthful, honest, practical and logical in your answers
Once you have this answer - then start being specific & by specific I mean super specific with your answers
Then focus on finding out all the steps to achieve this lifestyle - the good, the bad and the ugly
Ask yourself what are you willing to do right now (as in now) and consistently every single day to achieve this life
Start doing it immediately.
If you do this consistently - you will be well on your way to achieve success and yes, live your ideal life.
Remember - life is not all about working 24/7.
Its about living those moments fully and meaningfully.
